When you’re planning to store larger items of furniture like beds or kitchen tables, it may be tempting to just leave them “as is” for storage. However, most of these items easily come apart, making their storage footprint smaller. This lets you better utilize your storage space, and makes more room to store more things.
When you break down bigger pieces of furniture, be sure to wrap together the pieces with a few rounds of tape (try using the tape inside out to avoid sticky residue on the wood). Then put all the screws in a small plastic bag and tape the bag to the frame. This will make re-assembling your furniture later on a breeze.
